Account & data deletion
This page explains how to delete your HisabKitab Pro account and related data
without installing the app, and how to erase data from inside the app.
1) Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open HisabKitab Pro on your device.
- Go to Settings → Privacy & data.
- Follow Erase data & delete account (type DELETE to confirm).
- If you signed in with Google or email, the app verifies your identity, removes mirrored cloud copies where applicable, deletes the Firebase sign-in user when signed in, and erases local business data on the device.
2) Request deletion without the app (web / email)
If you cannot open the app, request deletion by email:
- Email the support / privacy contact shown on the HisabKitab Pro Google Play store listing.
- Use subject line:
Account deletion request — HisabKitab Pro
- Include: (a) the email or phone used to sign in, (b) business name if any, (c) confirmation that you want permanent deletion.
- We will verify ownership and process the request. Typical handling: within 30 days of a verified request.
3) What is deleted
- Local encrypted ledger data on the device (customers, suppliers, bills, transactions, reminders, staff, inventory, settings) when erased in-app or after uninstall (subject to device backups).
- When signed in: mirrored Shared Khata / Firebase documents for that business and the Firebase Authentication user, as implemented by the in-app erasure flow.
- Google Drive backup files you created manually are not auto-deleted — remove them in Google Drive if needed.
4) What may be retained briefly
- Security, fraud-prevention, or legal records where required by law.
- Aggregated diagnostics that cannot identify you.
